Jon Pressett
Experience
Dr. Pressett was born and raised in Carbon County. He completed 5 years of residency training at UMASS in general surgery. His general surgery training was then followed by a year of specialized fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Dr. Pressett has a particular interest in caring for the people in his hometown and surrounding rural communities.He and his wife enjoy raising their four daughters in the small town gem of Price, UT.
Dr. Pressett is an established and highly skilled Board-Certified General Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons for over 18 years. He has been a member of the Hospital Board of Trustees from ----- until present. He is currently serving as Chief of Staff at Castleview Hospital. Dr. Pressett has a special interest in serving abroad in underprivileged countries. He has taken time away from his practice here to serve the people of Haiti and Ghana since 2011. He is working to establish a medical mission trip to Belize in the near future.
In his free time, Dr. Pressett enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the side of the soccer field, riding dirt bikes, boating on local reservoirs, and camping in the mountains. He looks to relieve stress doing welding projects, yard work, running a tractor or mini excavator, or finding his next DIY project.
